Euskal Herria Winter Championship:
A display of elegance and synchronicity in the pool- 17/November/2.024

On Sunday, November 17, 2024, the waters of the swimming pools at the Etxebarri sports center (Bizkaia) were transformed into a dream setting for the celebration of the Euskal Herria Winter Artistic Swimming Championship. This prestigious sporting event brought together talented young swimmers and experienced swimmers, who demonstrated their mastery in the water through individual figures in the children's category and technical routines in the junior and absolute categories.

The youngest swimmers were in charge of opening the competition with their individual figures. These young athletes demonstrated a surprising technical mastery for their age, executing complex movements with admirable precision. Each figure, from the simplest to the most elaborate, was executed with great skill.

The morning continued with the exciting presentation of technical routines in the junior and absolute categories. The solos, duos and technical teams captivated the audience with their fluid and perfectly coordinated movements. Music, choreography and costumes came together to create artistic compositions of great beauty, where each gesture and each look conveyed a unique emotion.

Beyond the competition, the Euskal Herria Winter Championship became a meeting place for swimmers, coaches and families. Camaraderie and sportsmanship were present in every corner of the pool, creating an atmosphere of celebration and camaraderie.

The Sincro Sestao Club won Gold in the Junior technical solo category, Gold and Bronze in the Junior technical duo category and Bronze in the Junior technical team category.

The Sestao Sincro Club has once again demonstrated the high level of artistic swimming in our territory. The young swimmers who participated in this event are the future of this sport, and their talent and dedication allow us to be optimistic about the future of this discipline in our municipality of Sestao.

A Dip for the Cause: Sincro Sestao Commemorates World Breast Cancer Day.- 19/October/2.024

Sincro Sestao immerses itself in a day full of energy and solidarity to commemorate World Breast Cancer Day. The swimmers and coaches carried out a special training session, demonstrating not only their skill in the water, but also their commitment to a cause that touches the hearts of many.

The swimmers painted the pool with a palette of pink and white colors, universal symbols of the fight against breast cancer, wanting to make it clear that on that day, October 19, 2024, said training, more than a training, was a show of unity and solidarity.
With this initiative, Sincro Sestao aims not only to promote the practice of artistic swimming, but also to take a step forward in the fight against breast cancer, contributing and doing its bit to show and raise awareness of this terrible disease.

Breast cancer is one of the main causes of cancer-related deaths in women worldwide. However, when it is detected early, the chances of successful treatment are significantly higher. For this reason, from the Sincro Sestao Club we call for prevention and early diagnosis, since they are fundamental in the fight against this disease. We also want to highlight and transfer all our strength to all those women who day after day continue to fight against this terrible disease.

Weekly challenges in training.- 20/September/2.024

Moments of training and also fun
Weekly Challenges to Dive Into the Fun
Artistic swimming is a discipline that requires not only great skill and coordination, but also enormous willpower and perseverance. To maintain team motivation and enthusiasm, it is essential to introduce elements of fun into training. Weekly challenges are a great way to achieve this, encouraging creativity, teamwork and, of course, laughter!

A World of Possibilities
Challenges can be as simple as setting a time record for a specific routine, or as complex as creating original choreography inspired by a certain theme. The key is to tailor them to each swimmer's level and abilities, and to make sure they are challenging enough to maintain interest, but not so difficult as to discourage.

Benefits of Weekly Challenges
Increased motivation: Challenges make training more fun and less monotonous.
Improved coordination and timing: By working as a team and performing complex movements, swimmers hone their technique.
Development of creativity: Challenges involving the creation of original choreographies stimulate imagination and artistic expression.
Strengthening team spirit: By working together towards a common goal, swimmers come together and create a stronger bond.

Extraordinary day at the FUN BOX inflatable park.- 14/September/2.024

A Splash of Fun in Funbox!!
The bright sun bathed the joyful faces of our synchronized swimmers as they headed to their long-awaited destination: Funbox, the world's largest inflatable park. On Saturday, September 14, like a group of friends united by their passion for water and dance, they prepared for an unforgettable adventure.

Upon arrival, excitement was palpable in the air. The huge inflatable structure, with its giant slides and challenging mazes, stood like a castle of fun. The girls, accustomed to the discipline of pool training, set out to explore this new world of play with boundless energy.

The first few minutes were a chaos of laughter and screams. The swimmers slid down the slides, bouncing off the padded walls. The coordination and agility they had developed in synchronized swimming allowed them to overcome the obstacles with ease, making them true queens of the park.

At the end of the day, exhausted but happy, our swimmers said goodbye to Funbox with a smile. The experience had been much more than just a day of fun. It had been an opportunity to unwind, to strengthen the bonds of friendship and to remember why they loved the sport so much.

Back home, their skin reddened by the sun, the girls knew that this adventure would remain etched in their memories for a long time. And sometimes, the best moments are those in which the passion for sport is combined with the joy of friendship.

Thais Henriquez with Sincro Sestao.-3, 4 and 5/May/2019

In the current 2018-19 season, the Sestao Sincro Club is celebrating its twentieth anniversary. To this end, a series of activities have been organised, including bringing Thais Henriquez, World Champion and Olympic medallist in Artistic Swimming, among some of her achievements, to our Club so that our swimmers and coaches can enjoy her and her knowledge.

This weekend, May 3, 4 and 5, this assistance finally materialized, causing much amazement, excitement and surprise to our swimmers, many of whom were unaware of their arrival.

On Friday the 3rd we celebrated a welcome dinner with Thais Henriquez at the restaurant of the La Benedicta sports centre in Sestao, where we were able to share some very pleasant moments with everyone, both swimmers and parents, where Thais showed her naturalness, simplicity and kindness, making our girls feel like the greatest in the world in this sport.

On Saturday the 4th at eleven in the morning, the Mayor of Sestao, Mr. Josu Bergara, welcomed her in the plenary hall of Sestao Town Hall, presenting her with a gift from our municipality, more specifically, a replica of the oven from the now defunct company "Altos Hornos de Bizkaia", and thanking Josu Bergara, the Sports department and the Culture department for their collaboration with us, providing us with the means we have needed at all times.

After the aforementioned reception, Thais Henriquez gave a talk in the auditorium of the Sestao School of Music, where she showed videos of her time with the Spanish team at the Olympic Games and at the World Championships in Rome, where she was able to obtain the first gold medal in this discipline at a World Championship.
She also talked about her sporting career, her difficulties and all the dedication and effort that it took to become a member of the Synchronized Swimming Dream Team.

In the afternoon, our swimmers and coaches spent a long day in the pools of the Las Llanas sports centre in Sestao, ending with an exhibition of the routines of the different categories of our Club and the performance of a free solo by Thais Henriquez herself.

On Sunday the 5th, during an intense and early day, Thais Henriquez was once again at the poolside doing a technical session with our coaches and swimmers.

From this Club we want to convey our gratitude and admiration to Thais Henriquez, she has shown us the naturalness, sportsmanship, simplicity and humility that a great champion has to have, her simplicity, her great kindness and attention to our girls make her even greater if possible, it has been a pride for us to have lived these unforgettable moments with this great person and athlete, never change and continue showing the world, just as you have shown us, that above some medals, above success, there is one thing that predominates and has to predominate, respect for people and the equal treatment that must be given to them. Thank you very much Thais, many people should learn from your humility and simplicity, we will never forget you.

Open Schools North Zone 4/May/2019

On May 4, 2019, the Open Schools North Zone was held at the swimming pools of the Sincro Urbarri Club, located in the town of Etxebarri (Bizkaia).

Our group of schoolchildren participated in it, doing the corresponding figures during the morning session and the combined routine in the afternoon session.

In both participations our schoolchildren managed to obtain a bronze medal for figures and a bronze medal in the combined routine.

These two achievements are not the most important thing to highlight, which they also are, but the great time they had, the unity they all had and the passion they showed for their sport, Artistic Swimming, was by far the most notable thing.

Despite their young age, they demonstrate every day the sportsmanship and respect for their opponents that is instilled in them at their Club. The joy and camaraderie that they display both in training and in their participation make them great athletes. There is much for us adults to learn from them despite their age.

Cheer up girls, keep enjoying yourself and keep making us enjoy ourselves as you have been doing up until now.

The swimming route was located within the area of the Port of Zierbena, an area protected from waves and currents, so swimming is completely safe.
Both departure and arrival were in the same port of Zierbana.
The area for collecting race numbers, providing refreshments and awarding prizes was located in the pedestrian zone of the port of Zierbena.
The test was open to all those who wished to take part in it.

ASPANOVAS ASSOCIATION

Until 1989, the parents of children and adolescents with cancer treated at the Cruces and Basurto Hospitals were somewhat unprotected against the problems arising from their children's diagnosis, including psychological, social, educational, etc. problems. It was in May of that same year, when a group of affected families who believed in the popular saying "Unity is strength", decided to join together and form an association to defend the rights of their children. Thanks to the support of public institutions, health personnel and many people aware of the problems of children with cancer, ASPANOVAS Bizkaia became a reality.

Sopuerta Aventura ( Tirolinas )                                                                     29/Sept/2.018

Great day today Saturday in the municipality of Sopuerta (Bizkaia), day of coexistence between Amatxus and Aitas, while our trainers and swimmers, enjoyed themselves greatly in the zip line park "Sopuerta Aventura".

After our Club's season started at the beginning of September, both swimmers and coaches suggested that we go on a Club outing, where we could all enjoy a nice and enjoyable day.

Not being able to ignore the great suggestion of all of them, the proposal was made to the Amatxus and Aitas to have a meal together in the surroundings of Sopuerta, a pleasant place due to the places prepared for this purpose, and it was possible to materialize it today.

In the "Gallery" section you can find the photographs taken today by Irune, our official photographer. From here we would like to thank her for all those moments that she allows us to see and save once they are finished.

Entrenadoras Superiores, pioneras en Bizkaia                                       10/Julio/2.018

On July 10th of this year, the Sestao Sincro Club met one of the objectives set approximately five years ago, two of its swimmers, who currently work as coaches for the Club, obtained the highest qualification in Artistic Swimming, Superior Coaches of Artistic Swimming, they are Ane Begoñe Rincón and Saioa de Lucas.

With this objective fulfilled, we have achieved to have within our Club, the first two superior Artistic Swimming coaches of the Bizkaia territory, who together with the one already existing in the Club Sincro Easo of Gipuzkoa, become the only three coaches with the aforementioned qualification of the community of Euskadi.

The ambitions of the Sestao Sincro Club to train our swimmers in this difficult but at the same time rewarding sport do not stop with this achievement, since the current team of coaches existing in the Club, are joined by two more coaches, Zuriñe Rincón and Maider Fernández, who have the qualification of Assistant Coaches of Artistic Swimming, who will soon continue with their training to also obtain the qualification of Superior Coaches, a fact that can be completed in the already started 2018-2019 season.

This Club proudly proclaims these achievements, as all of them have been and are swimmers who have been trained in the Club itself since they were very young and who currently, in addition to working as coaches, continue to practice the sport of Artistic Swimming. With this, in addition to not having to resort to external coaches, they will be role models for all our swimmers, who will not see it as impossible to become great Artistic Swimming coaches, something that until now was seen as something unique in the largest Clubs at a state level.

These trainers do not complete their training by obtaining the aforementioned qualification; they will continue to attend clinics and courses that arise in the Spanish Swimming Federation, thereby managing to be up to date with regard to the technical aspects of this sport.

It has been a long road to obtain this title, but very satisfying for them and for our Club, many trips to the community of Madrid, where they have taken all the courses, many hours of sacrifice to combine their studies with the training of coaches, but at the same time very rewarding, since they will be able to train our swimmers, being aware of the best techniques to be able to carry out Artistic Swimming.

Positive balance in the medal table for synchronized swimming girls

After a long year of effort, the members of the Sestao Synchronized Swimming Club won the IC Open Championship of Cantabria Routines, held in the Cantabrian town of Maliaño. The Club competed in the figure modality and in routines in the solo, duo, team and combo modalities. The work completed throughout the year was hard and as confirmed by the Club, they have been working for a long time both on the figures and on the different routines of all categories. The season began in September 2016, after the summer and with effort they have managed to reach the top.

The protagonists of the latest feat were the swimmers of the categories ...

Campeonas IV Campeonato Open Rutinas Cantabria                                     20/Mayo/2017

Last Saturday, May 20, 2017, the Club Sincro Sestao participated in the IV Open Championship of Routines of Cantabria, held in the Cantabrian town of Maliaño (Santander). A total of 164 swimmers participated in the aforementioned championship in the figures category and 30 routines were performed in the solo category, 29 routines in the duo category, 17 routines in the team category and 17 routines in the combined category, all of them distributed in morning and afternoon sessions.

At the end of the days, the Club Sincro Sestao won the Clubs, climbing to the top of the podium and collecting the championship cup, after having obtained in the Alevín category bronze medals in figures, bronze in solo routines, silver in duo routines and gold in team and combined routines, in the Infantil category bronze in team routines and in the Absolute category gold in figures, solos, duos and teams and finally bronze in combined routines.

The most remarkable thing about all this was the good atmosphere in the pool, with excellent camaraderie among all the swimmers and of course the great day enjoyed by the swimmers and coaches of the Sincro Sestao Club, ending the day, as it could not be otherwise, shouting in unison with the parents of all of them, cod, cod, cod..............Sincro Sestao.

Thank you all for sharing this championship with us and seeing day after day how great they are all becoming as athletes and people. Keep going like this, don't change and don't waste the opportunity to continue enjoying your sport and your teammates...
